This blog can go two ways. I hope it'll be mostly about the new and exotic discoveries I will make while I'm in Africa. Unfortunately, I think it'll be more about my triumph of just keeping it together. My discoveries are usually more about things I lost...then found but either way, I promise to write about each discovery, of every kind, with equal pomp and flare. :)
I haven't had a chance to catch up with all my friends so here's the low down on what's going on. I've been given this incredible opportunity to move to Kenya and Tanzania, Africa, and work with a eco-tourism/conservation/resort management company. My role and responsibilities will vary but I'm aware of a few projects I'll be working on. First, I'll be working alongside the government to perform a environmental impact assessment for a underwater hotel that is being built by the company I'm working for. Then, I'll be working to create a new eco-tourism package in Tanzania. There are so many more details to be worked out but like any expedition, most of the answers won't be revealed until I get there... and that won't be until February 1, 2009, my departure date... scarry...:)
